Stunting, Racing & Excessive Vehicle Noise within City Limits

At the May 19, 2021 meeting of the Operations and Community Services Committee, the Committee considered the attached OCS21-20 report from the Citizen Services division.

Constable Greg Krawetz, representing the Regina Police Service, was available to answer questions from Committee.

The Committee adopted a resolution to concur in the recommendations contained in the report with the following amendment:

1.      That the fine amount noted in recommendation #1 be increased to $250.

2.      That City Council direct Administration to review noise violations for Motor Vehicles and report back to the Operations and Community Services Committee by Q3 of 2022 on the number of violations, repeat offences, and if an escalating fine amount may be warranted.
