2023 Elected Official Committee Appointments

At the January 18, 2023 meeting of the Executive Committee, the Committee considered in private session, the attached E22-45 report from the City Clerk’s Office.

 

The following members of the Executive Committee declared a conflict of interest with respect to the consideration of appointments to the HR Subcommittee, citing the following reason:

 

·         Councillor Andrew Stevens cited he was the co-applicant named in a court application respecting the City Manager in November 2022, stepped down from the Chair, abstained from discussion and voting, and left the meeting for this appointment item only.

·         Councillor Dan LeBlanc citing he was the legal counsel for a court application respecting the City Manager in November 2022, abstained from discussion and voting, and left the meeting for this appointment item only.

 

The Committee adopted a resolution to concur in the recommendation contained in the report with the following amendment:

 

That the Council representative appointed to the Frost Festival Planning Committee be for a term expiring June 30, 2024 and that the ongoing term expiry be set to expire every two years commencing July 1, 2024.

 

Recommendation #4 in the attached report does not require City Council approval.
