Coronation Park Community Garden - 560 Elphinstone Street

At the May 11, 2022 meeting of Executive Committee, the Committee considered the attached EX22-63 from the Financial Strategy & Sustainability Division.

The Committee adopted a resolution to concur in the recommendation contained in the report, after amending recommendation #4 and #5 to reflect the correct entity and legal description as follows:

4.              Approve a property tax exemption for Coronation Park Community Association Inc. for a portion of the property legally described as Blk L, Plan 59R10218 and outlined in Appendix A for the 2022 tax year pursuant to the Community Non-Profit Tax Exemption Policy subject to the Government of Saskatchewan approving the exemption or partial exemption of the education portion of the property tax levies where required.

5.              Authorize the Executive Director, Financial Strategy & Sustainability or delegate to apply for the approval of the Government of Saskatchewan on behalf of the Coronation Park Community Association Inc. for any exemption of the education portion of the property tax levies payable to the Government of Saskatchewan that is $25,000 or greater on an annual basis.

Recommendation #7 in the attached report does not require City Council approval.
